Lori Maxwell is chairing the Playreading Committee that will present its recommendations for the 2020 season to the Board of Directors. There is still time to submit plays for them to consider. The deadline for accepting plays/musicals is February 28, 2019. You may submit your
titles either on our Facebook page or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The committee's recommendations will be received by the BOD at their April meeting.
Prospective Directors are invited to submit up to 3 plays and/or musicals for our 2020 season. The plays listed on this page have already been reviewed and selected by our committee as shows that would be a good match for our audience, and our space. But, we are open to other suggestions!
A Director's Application (which includes comprehensive instructions) must be filled out completely and returned to Playcrafters by February 28, 2019. It is required that the applications offer insight into the Director’s plans for sets, costumes and any special effects that would impact the feasibility of staging the show within the budget constraints. In addition, all submissions must identify a Producer, and musicals must identify a musical director.
The Play Selection Committee will review all submissions and recommend a lineup to the Playcrafters Board, who selects the final season. In addition, the committee reads, and may choose from, a broad spectrum of modern and classic comedies, dramas, mysteries, and musicals to assure Playcrafters commitment to provide a balanced season.
