2013 Directing and Play Selection
Prospective Directors are invited to submit up to 3 plays and/or musicals for our 2013 season. The plays listed below have already been reviewed and selected by our committee as shows that would be a good match for our audience, and our space. But, we are open to other suggestions!
A Director's Application (which includes comprehensive instructions) must be filled out completely and returned to Playcrafters by February 28, 2012 for plays and March 31, 2012 for musicals. Proposals for the fall youth production and December holiday show should also be submitted by these dates. It is required that the applications offer insight into the Director’s plans for sets, costumes and any special effects that would impact the feasibility of staging the show within the budget constraints.
The Play Selection Committee will review all submissions and recommend a lineup to the Playcrafters Board, who selects the final season. In addition, the committee reads, and may choose from, a broad spectrum of modern and classic comedies, dramas, mysteries, and musicals to assure Playcrafters commitment to provide a balanced season.
